It’s crucial that you not judge yourself for your deep sadness or depression. Give yourself some grace. You’re here (& maybe queer) & taking things a moment @ a time. Congrats, boo! You deserve all the gold stars ✨
1. Reach out to trusted community (distant loves count, too)
#It’s important to reach out to loves who you can be emotionally intimately with (Even if you only have one human). Those who you connect deeply with & respect your boundaries. Let them know you’re feeling depressed & want them to hold space, receive a hug 🫂 or you want to affirmed.
2. Rest without judgment.
Maybe you’re feeling burn out, too. Maybe you have just enough energy to write ✍🏽 or journal (or audio journal on your phone), snuggle with your fur baby. Rest can look like deep breathing 😮💨 staying hydrating, stretching, watching your favorite show, snacking etc. Do one ☝🏽 thing
3. Find the light 💡
Whether you open your blinds and let the light hit you, “let the sunshine in” or drag yourself to something you normally do when you’re not depressed, even if your numb, sad or angry while doing it. (I actually drug myself to a depressing ssa solo date) Getting that light ✨ may not help you immediately, but it may chip away @ the sadness little by little.
