Paths of Reproduction (that don't involve seggs)

There are so many paths to reproduction that don't involve seggs. *All the paths from sex to the ones I’ve listed are valid and beautiful!

Here are a few:

IVF: a procedure whereby an egg is fertilized by sperm in a test tube or elsewhere outside the body

IUI: intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedure, sperm is placed directly into the uterus using a small catheter.

ICI: a type of artificial insemination that involves inserting sperm into the cervix. This is the passageway just outside the uterus. This approach can be used in a doctor’s office or at home.

Surrogacy: an arrangement, often supported by a legal agreement. The gestational carrier agrees to bear a child for another person or people, who will become the child's parent(s) after birth

Adoption can be seen as a path to reproduction, as well (as path to parenthood, of course, too)

and many more....

Notes:

We can't assume that parents seeking paths of reproduction outside of seggs are struggling with infertility.

We can't assume that the only path of reproduction is through seggs (even for cisgender straiight folks)

We really have to make space and acknowledge ALL the ways folks desire to reproduce.
